Role Overview
As Lead Product Designer, you’ll guide the evolution of key user experiences across web and mobile platforms, serving both clients and workers in a fast-paced global environment. You'll balance hands-on design work with leadership, shaping the direction of critical fintech products while elevating the craft and collaboration within the design team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and design leadership to define the roadmap for client and user-facing features
- Identify patterns across complex workflows and simplify interactions through thoughtful design
- Challenge existing assumptions and lead efforts to reinvent outdated systems
- Work closely with designers on B2B and consumer-facing initiatives, ensuring consistency and clarity
- Refine user interfaces in real time, balancing speed with precision
- Lead by doing—contribute directly to projects while mentoring and growing a small team
- Establish strong design standards and ensure they’re upheld across teams
- Prioritize team success and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of high-impact work
- Recent experience in a senior individual contributor role (Lead, Staff, or equivalent)
- At least two years of experience managing or mentoring designers
- Curiosity about artificial intelligence and experience applying AI tools in design processes or product development
- Background in fast-moving tech environments—especially fintech, neo-banking, or scale-ups
- Strong command of interaction and visual design principles
- Experience designing across both enterprise and consumer audiences
- Proven mobile design expertise
- Ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality
- Comfort making decisions amid ambiguity
- Resilience under pressure and a commitment to outcomes
- Relentless attention to detail and a high standard for design excellence
- A team-first mindset in all aspects of work
Preferred Background
Direct experience in financial technology products is a strong plus.
Tools & Environment
You’ll work with AI-powered design tools, modern prototyping platforms, and cross-platform design systems for web and mobile. The role operates in a fully remote setup, with access to WeWork spaces available where needed.
