Lead Optical Transceiver Firmware Engineer
Take ownership of designing, implementing, and refining embedded firmware for advanced optical transceivers. You'll work directly with hardware teams to align firmware functionality with physical design, ensuring stable and efficient operation across diverse conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and debug firmware primarily in C or C++ for embedded optical communication systems.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to validate and optimize firmware-hardware interactions.
- Conduct rigorous testing to verify performance, reliability, and compliance with technical specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues between firmware and hardware components.
- Optimize code for speed, power efficiency, and memory usage.
- Produce and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for firmware modules and system behavior.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Prior experience in embedded systems and firmware development—particularly with optical transceivers—is strongly preferred. Advanced degrees may be advantageous for senior-level placement.
Technical Environment
Work within a framework centered on C, C++, embedded firmware design, hardware integration, and optical transceiver technologies.
Workplace Commitment
This role supports a global organization dedicated to sustainable manufacturing, inclusive work environments, and equal opportunity employment. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, regardless of race, religion, gender, age, disability, or veteran status.
