Responsibilities
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for clients on ELV/ICT systems, guiding discussions on system architecture, integration planning, and operational preparedness with senior engineering and operations teams
- Collaborate directly with client subject matter experts, security operations centers (SOC), IT departments, global stakeholders, and cross-functional design teams
- Lead technical conversations on integration approaches, resilience design, communication protocols, and operational processes
- Take ownership of producing Design Basis Reports (DBR) for IBMS, system architecture descriptions, cause-and-effect tables, and integration planning documents
- Contribute to proposal development and responses to RFPs and TQRs
- Define full ELV/IBMS system architecture, including integration of BMS, EPMS, DCIM, security systems (CCTV/VMS, access control, perimeter detection), fire alarm systems (FAS, VESDA), public address/voice alarm systems, and operational procedures
- Design integrated systems for large-scale and colocation data centers with IT loads between 10–100 MW, incorporating security zoning and network design suited to mission-critical environments
- Create multi-tiered security system architectures
- Design integration of HVAC monitoring and control with electrical power monitoring systems
- Establish redundancy strategies aligned with uptime targets and Tier III/IV data center standards
- Develop network layouts and operational sequences to define integrated system behavior
- Design complete BMS/IBMS solutions including PLC structure, server failover setups, communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, IEC-61850, OPC UA), and control logic
- Produce comprehensive I/O lists, control logic diagrams, and cause-and-effect matrices for all integrated systems
- Coordinate integration with electrical systems, including EPMS data pathways, power monitoring sensors, emergency shutdown sequences, and load shedding logic
- Coordinate integration with mechanical systems, including HVAC sensor networks, chiller/CDU control loops, and thermal feedback to IBMS
- Design workflows for security operations centers (SOC), alarm handling strategies, and operator interface logic
- Verify system protocols and redundancy across all integration points, ensuring compliance with TIA-942, ISO 27001 (physical security), and local fire safety codes
- Lead the creation of ELV schematics, IBMS architecture diagrams, network topology drawings, and equipment schedules through IFC stage
- Review and approve AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) models at LOD350 with integrated multi-discipline coordination
- Prepare technical specifications, equipment bills of quantities, network schedules, and integration test procedures
- Develop criteria for vendor selection, lead technical assessments, and conduct submittal reviews to ensure alignment with system design
- Lead coordination across Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Fire Protection, IT, and BIM teams during installation and testing phases
- Support on-site installation activities including equipment setup, network rollout, cable commissioning, and system validation
- Own the development and execution of testing procedures including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), cause-and-effect verification, and Integrated System Testing (IST)
- Validate system redundancy, failover mechanisms, and operational workflows through live system testing
