Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable automation systems in Python to ensure consistent deployment processes across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Enhance Terraform code generation using Python and Jinja2 to streamline infrastructure provisioning from reusable, validated templates.
- Develop and maintain Puppet components, including modules and Hiera data, to manage large-scale Linux and Windows systems reliably.
- Build powerful PowerShell scripts to automate Windows server operations, Active Directory tasks, and hybrid cloud integrations.
- Create internal tools, command-line interfaces, and APIs that allow engineering teams to independently manage routine infrastructure tasks.
- Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, automated testing and deployment of infrastructure changes.
- Implement testing strategies for infrastructure code, including unit tests, linting, and integration checks, to ensure quality and reduce risk.
- Collaborate with cloud, platform, and application teams to identify manual workflows and replace them with automated solutions.
- Produce clear documentation, standards, and operational runbooks to support long-term maintainability of automation systems.
- Support engineering excellence by engaging in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and improving the security and quality of automation code.
