About the Role
This position leads the design and management of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability efforts while mentoring engineers and driving automation best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of CI/CD workflows
- Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure at scale
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems for production environments
- Drive automation across deployment and operational processes
- Collaborate with development teams to improve release velocity
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance
- Manage configuration and provisioning using infrastructure-as-code tools
- Support incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Enforce security standards within DevOps practices
- Optimize cloud resource usage and cost efficiency
- Lead on-call rotations and operational support schedules
- Evaluate and integrate new DevOps tools and technologies
- Document system architecture and operational procedures
- Promote a culture of shared ownership and observability
- Coordinate with security teams on compliance requirements
- Improve testing and staging environments for accuracy
- Manage containerized workloads and orchestration platforms
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Mentor engineers in DevOps principles and practices
- Drive initiatives to reduce technical debt in infrastructure
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline
- Certifications in cloud architecture or DevOps practices
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven technology environments
