Digital Virgo is hiring a Lead Developer PHP to play a strategic role within our technical team. You will join an innovative company recognized for its expertise in telecom payments and digital content monetization.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and develop the skills of an internationally distributed backend developer team.
- Organize team rituals including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Conduct code reviews, promote best practices, and guarantee technical quality.
- Collaborate with the Country Manager and Product Managers to estimate tasks, prioritize backlogs, and plan sprints.
- Monitor project progress, raise alerts, and adjust resources as needed.
- Ensure adherence to schedules and technical commitments.
- Provide clear and regular reporting on development progress to product, tech, and management teams.
- Anticipate technical risks and propose solutions.
- Coordinate interactions with QA, DevOps, security, and support teams.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in PHP development.
- 2+ years in a Lead Developer or Tech Lead role with direct team management.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and planning/tracking tools like Jira.
- Proficiency in steering technical projects, managing priorities, and making quick decisions.
- Ability to work remotely with multicultural teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- Solution-oriented mindset, autonomy, collaborative spirit, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Nice to Have
- An interest in artificial intelligence or experience with AI tools is a definite asset.
