Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable cloud and hybrid environments that power enterprise data integration and engineering pipelines.
- Create and sustain automated deployment processes for Linux and Windows servers, including containerized applications.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, Helm, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Operate and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and AWS services such as ECS, EKS, ECR, Batch, and CloudWatch.
- Implement and enhance monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability systems using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, AlertManager, and SNS.
- Enforce secure infrastructure practices for sensitive data, including access controls, secret management, encryption, network segmentation, and audit trails.
- Maintain and support enterprise integration platforms such as DataBridge, DataBridge-Airflow, AIS, MuleSoft, Postgres/PostGIS, APIs, and associated application stacks.
- Increase system reliability through automated backups, standardized deployments, incident response, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, application teams, vendors, security teams, and departments to ensure stable data integrations.
- Convert platform requirements into reusable, scalable infrastructure designs applicable across multiple projects and teams.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues involving infrastructure, networking, containers, databases, pipelines, authentication, scheduling, or runtime environments.
- Develop and maintain DevOps standards, infrastructure documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and repeatable deployment patterns.
- Advance the city's enterprise data integration ecosystem through continuous improvement initiatives.
