Valtech is hiring a Lead Cloud Engineer

Requirements

  • Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Shell, or equivalent
  • Background in backend development using Python, Java, or comparable programming languages
  • Demonstrated expertise with Infrastructure as Code platforms like Terraform or Ansible
  • Familiarity with version control systems including GitHub or Bitbucket
  • Hands-on use of CI/CD pipelines through tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
  • Track record delivering L2 and L3 production support, including root cause analysis and incident documentation
  • Strong command of English, both verbal and written, at upper-intermediate level or higher

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments
  • Knowledge of Xstore POS or other Oracle Retail platforms
  • Understanding of observability tools including Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk, or native cloud monitoring
  • Work history in enterprise-scale or retail technology settings
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on team support and accountability
  • Drive to enhance system reliability and refine operational workflows over time
