About the Role
This role leads the architecture, implementation, and support of Citrix-based virtual desktop and application environments, integrating with network and cloud platforms to deliver reliable and secure user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable Citrix environments across data centers and cloud platforms
- Lead technical direction for virtual desktop infrastructure and application delivery
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to optimize performance and security
- Manage Citrix ADC (formerly NetScaler) configurations and load balancing
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for virtualized services
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Citrix, networking, and hypervisor layers
- Develop automation scripts to streamline system deployment and monitoring
- Maintain system documentation and configuration baselines
- Evaluate new technologies to enhance virtualization capabilities
- Support integration between on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure
- Enforce security policies within virtual environments
- Lead incident response for critical system outages
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers
- Coordinate with vendors for support and upgrades
- Monitor system performance and recommend capacity improvements
- Implement identity and access controls for virtual desktop access
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards
- Participate in change management and release planning
- Optimize network traffic for virtual desktop user experience
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new virtualization features
- Integrate monitoring tools to proactively detect system issues
- Support secure remote access solutions
- Manage firmware and software patching for Citrix components
- Work with security teams to conduct vulnerability assessments
- Drive standardization of virtual desktop images and configurations
