Responsibilities
- Oversee simulation-led design and research initiatives within the center of excellence
- Design and execute a strategic plan for simulation technology to address capability shortfalls and drive innovation
- Drive adoption of modal-based systems engineering, digital twin models, and predictive maintenance frameworks
- Support product development teams by validating DFMEA using multiphysics simulation techniques
- Integrate early-stage simulation-based design exploration into development workflows
- Deliver tailored simulation training, performance benchmarks, and mentorship for engineering staff
- Develop guided analysis procedures, reusable templates, and simulation tools for design teams
- Establish governance standards, quality controls, and validation checks to ensure simulation reliability
- Lead efforts to validate and correlate simulation models with physical test and field performance data
- Manage deployment of high-performance computing systems to accelerate simulation throughput and precision
- Serve as the primary technical resource for material science across the organization
- Curate and maintain a specialized material property database for engineering use
- Apply advanced simulation methods to lower product costs and simplify designs
- Translate complex technical findings into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders
