About the Role
The Lead Building Engineer is responsible for managing daily building operations, supervising maintenance staff, and ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems are properly maintained across assigned properties.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of commercial buildings
- Supervise and coordinate activities of engineering and maintenance staff
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems
- Inspect and maintain plumbing systems to ensure proper function
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment failures
- Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulatory standards
- Manage work orders and track completion timelines
- Conduct routine building inspections for safety and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services

- Oversee elevator maintenance and service schedules
