Lead Animator - Gaming
Role Overview
In this role, you will define how characters and elements move and respond in our games, shaping the emotional rhythm and responsiveness that players feel with every interaction. Reporting to the Art Director, you’ll set the creative and technical direction for animation, ensuring motion enhances both gameplay clarity and emotional engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement expressive 2D animations for characters, props, visual effects, and UI using Spine and Unity, with a focus on weight, timing, and emotional impact
- Own the full animation workflow—from rigging and skinning to engine integration—ensuring performance efficiency and technical reliability
- Work closely with gameplay, design, and engineering teams to prototype and refine motion systems that improve feedback and player understanding
- Establish and enforce animation quality benchmarks across live content and new features, aligning artistic vision with mobile device limitations
- Bring personality and rhythm to animations, transforming basic actions into satisfying, memorable experiences
