Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js, with PostgreSQL hosted on Supabase and AWS RDS, taking ownership of features from front-end UI through to database implementation.
- Implement business logic within the database layer using Postgres functions, views, triggers, Row-Level Security, and Supabase Edge Functions to reduce middleware complexity and enhance performance and data isolation.
- Integrate AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Devin, GitHub Copilot, and agent frameworks into daily workflows to generate code, refactor features, evolve schemas, manage migrations, and automate engineering tasks.
- Prioritize application security across all layers, including secure coding practices, dependency management, data protection, and authentication systems like Supabase Auth, OAuth2, OIDC, and SSO, in collaboration with security teams.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to turn user needs into intuitive, high-impact features and contribute technical insights during product discovery and roadmap planning.
- Design and refine API interfaces, edge functions, and event-driven architectures using Next.js server components and Supabase capabilities, with attention to performance, resilience, and multi-region deployment strategies.
- Structure and optimize PostgreSQL schemas for large-scale, multi-tenant environments, managing indexing, query efficiency, and data partitioning to support significant growth in users and data volume.
- Support secure DevOps practices by contributing to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, database migration processes, and vulnerability scanning, working alongside infrastructure teams on Supabase and AWS platforms.
- Provide mentorship and constructive code reviews to fellow engineers, promoting best practices in full-stack development, data-centric design, and AI-integrated workflows.
- Engage in continuous learning around advancements in AI-assisted software development, agentic systems, application security, and modern database technologies, and share knowledge across the engineering team.
