Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support and collaborates with the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and department chairpersons.
- Coordinates initiatives involving the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and the Associate Dean for Research, including international partnerships, foundation and corporate relations, and the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF, SROP) program.
- Works with the Graduate School and College Faculty and Business Office to assess funding availability and determine the number of available fellowships.
- Organizes and manages annual graduate program events such as the new student welcome reception, the College of Pharmacy Research Day Graduate Student Awards Symposium, and the Tyler Symposium.
- Offers administrative assistance to the Associate Dean for Research.
- Plans and coordinates faculty development activities, including grant presentation luncheons, junior faculty meetings, and annual safety and research integrity training.
- Manages the administration of graduate fellowships, travel awards, and Graduate School recruiting fellowships within the College of Pharmacy.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the College and the Graduate School on all matters related to graduate education.
