Abbott is looking for a Key Accounts Manager based in Hyderabad. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing strategic initiatives, sales forecasting, and promotional negotiations with key accounts to drive growth and customer satisfaction. You will serve as a critical link, coordinating between internal teams and customers to execute business plans.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the National Account Controller in firming up monthly forecasts and numbers with internal customer marketing and supply chain teams.
  • Assist in meeting monthly and annual sales targets and prepare review materials for accounts.
  • Implement strategic initiatives within Joint Business Planning accounts.
  • Coordinate with accounts to get details of store openings and track organic growth.
  • Negotiate promotions and activations with buyers of retail chains.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as Marketing, CMM, Supply Chain, and Ethical team to ensure timely promotions, stock availability, events, and offtake.
  • Track point-of-sale data location-wise to identify micro-marketing opportunities and share insights for promo planning.
  • Track and provide commentary on special events like new item launches, both internally and to the customer.
  • Conduct promotional evaluation, analyze customer point-of-sale information, and track key initiatives.
  • Utilize POS shipment data and reference materials to assist in preparing customer presentations.
  • Leverage your understanding of retailers and their ways of working to drive customer and shopper delight.
  • Liaise with buyers and merchandising managers to negotiate national and regional promotions.
  • Drive the Abbott Nutrition International Customer Marketing agenda to gain more share of shelf.
  • Use POS data mining tools to identify category and brand opportunities at a city level and share with customer marketing teams.
  • Understand the interplay between various investment and profit drivers and manage them effectively.
  • Coordinate with front-end execution teams and third-party merchandisers.
  • Work with Brand and Customer Marketing to build and execute plans for categories with market share issues.
  • Innovate in areas of POS materials, promotions, merchandising, customer satisfaction, and differentiated in-store shopper engagement.

Team & Environment

You will report directly to the National Account Controller.
