Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day operational support to ensure German-language projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
- Assisting with project setup, planning, and guideline development
- Supporting annotator onboarding, training, and ongoing guidance
- Managing and supporting a remote team of German-speaking annotators
- Acting as the language quality gatekeeper, ensuring submissions meet required accuracy and quality thresholds (target: 95%)
- Performing detailed quality checks to identify language, formatting, and annotation issues before client submission
- Guiding annotators through questions and challenges via internal communication platforms
- Handling project administration tasks in line with internal and client standards
- Communicating clearly with internal stakeholders on project progress, risks, and quality issues
- Applying strong time management and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Requirements
- Fluent in German (Native or B2+ required)
- Non-native speakers are welcome, provided they have B2 above proficiency and strong confidence in reviewing German-language work
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
- 0–2 years of experience in project management, operations, or people management in any capacity
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle language and annotation errors
- Fast learner, self-driven, and comfortable working in fast-paced project environments
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when supporting and guiding remote teams
- Technically competent in Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets
Nice to Have
- Experience working on data annotation, language, or AI-related projects
- Experience leading or supporting small to medium-sized teams
- Background in linguistics, language studies, or similar fields
- Prior experience working with or for AI/data companies
- Familiarity with sourcing or engaging German-speaking communities from your region
- Proficiency in additional languages

Work Arrangement

Additional Information
- Candidates do not need to be based in Germany
- Able to work with overlapping hours with: Our Malaysia/ SEA-based team German-speaking annotators, when required
- Comfortable coordinating across time zones (no strict Germany-hours requirement)
- Minimum contract period: 3 months (renewable based on performance)
- Immediate availability required (target start: February 2026 onwards)
