About the Role
This role involves assisting with core finance functions including general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, and operational reporting. The individual will work closely with senior finance staff to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Maintain accurate documentation for accounting records and audits
- Collaborate with team members on financial reporting packages
- Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Process journal entries and adjustments under supervision
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Participate in internal and external audit coordination
- Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance department
- Respond to requests for financial data from internal stakeholders
- Track and report on key financial metrics
- Support tax preparation efforts with data compilation
- Assist in fixed asset accounting and depreciation tracking
- Help manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Provide backup support for accounts payable functions
- Maintain financial spreadsheets and templates
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems
- Participate in system upgrades and financial tool implementations
- Follow established internal controls and financial policies
- Assist in regulatory reporting submissions
- Work with compliance teams to address financial inquiries
- Contribute to year-end financial audit preparation
