Responsibilities
- Support senior accounting staff in generating monthly financial statements
- Apply and keep current knowledge of accounting standards related to inventory (ASC 330), cost of goods sold, and fixed assets
- Provide ongoing assistance with billing operations
- Process and manage payments to vendors accurately and on time
- Reconcile vendor account statements and resolve any invoice inconsistencies
- Ensure vendor master data, including banking and tax details, is accurate and up to date
- Respond to vendor questions and foster constructive supplier relationships
- Conduct in-depth account analyses to detect patterns, variances, and opportunities for process improvements
- Assist during external audits by supplying required records, schedules, and reconciliations
- Work with teams across departments to ensure correct expense recording and allocation
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to streamline accounting tasks and reduce errors
- Remain informed about evolving accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices
