This position supports software quality assurance through the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to improve product stability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test cases for software applications
- Collaborate with developers and quality assurance team members
- Execute test plans and document results accurately
- Identify, report, and track software defects
- Maintain and update test automation frameworks
- Participate in agile development processes
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Analyze system requirements to develop effective test strategies
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures
- Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes
- Support manual testing efforts when automation is not feasible
- Review code changes for potential quality risks
- Improve test coverage across functional and non-functional areas
- Assist in test environment setup and configuration
- Monitor application performance during testing phases
- Provide feedback on product usability and functionality
- Stay current with emerging testing tools and methodologies
- Document testing processes and best practices
- Escalate critical issues to team leads promptly
- Validate software updates before production release
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical blockers
- Ensure data integrity during test execution
- Contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
- Support deployment validation and post-release monitoring
- Maintain version control for test scripts
