About the Role

Position Overview

This role is for a certified Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic based in Regina, with potential assignments in remote areas. The mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex machinery, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. The position supports field operations and involves direct interaction with customers and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues across heavy-duty equipment, including field repairs
  • Engage directly with clients to understand operational concerns and deliver effective solutions
  • Collaborate with supervisors on repair planning, safety compliance, and workflow coordination
  • Adhere to on-site safety protocols and promote a secure working environment
  • Uphold service standards through timely, high-quality repairs and maintenance
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support field operations

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interprovincial Journeyperson certification in Heavy Equipment
  • Clear five-year driver’s abstract
  • Proven background in electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systems
  • Experience with transmission or hydraulic testing procedures
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Consistent commitment to workplace safety

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Caterpillar equipment lineup
  • Background in engine or component rebuilds
  • Experience in power generation systems

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $47.62 – $56.57 (base plus field premium)

Work Environment
