- Collaborate with development teams to integrate code changes into builds
- Implement version control practices for build configurations
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
- Monitor build performance and optimize for speed and reliability
- Document build procedures and installation instructions
- Verify software integrity through checksums and digital signatures
- Manage dependencies and third-party libraries in build environments
- Configure and maintain build servers and related infrastructure
- Assist in release management activities including version tagging
- Ensure compliance with security and licensing requirements in builds
- Create scripts to automate repetitive build and packaging tasks
- Work with QA teams to reproduce issues in clean build environments
- Support cross-platform builds including Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Integrate build outputs with deployment and distribution systems
- Maintain build environment isolation using containers or VMs
- Respond to urgent build issues during critical release windows
- Enforce build standards and best practices across engineering teams
- Track and report on build success rates and failure trends
