Responsibilities
- Lead and engage in daily cleaning, sanitizing, waste handling, and pest control tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
- Perform routine facility inspections to evaluate sanitation levels, detect deficiencies, and initiate timely corrections.
- Model exemplary behavior in upholding hygiene and cleanliness standards across all areas.
- Partner with management to refine sanitation protocols, timelines, and operational guidelines.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and chemicals, ensuring proper storage, availability, and usage efficiency.
- Monitor key performance metrics to maintain accountability and support achievement of organizational objectives.
- Remain on location until all sanitation duties and operational requirements for the shift are fully completed.
- Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
- Train team members in sanitation methods, equipment use, safety practices, and hygiene standards.
- Provide continuous guidance and feedback to ensure compliance with procedures and expectations.
- Promote a collaborative and respectful workplace that values communication and ongoing improvement.
- Advocate for safety by enforcing policies, protocols, and best practices within the sanitation unit.
- Recognize and address potential safety risks associated with cleaning operations.
- Work with safety personnel to deliver training, implement programs, and review incidents or accidents.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, company policies, and industry sanitation benchmarks.
- Oversee sanitation workflows without direct task execution to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Apply quality assurance practices to verify sanitation effectiveness and regulatory alignment.
- Encourage individual accountability by tracking and improving small-scale performance outcomes.
- Coordinate with quality assurance staff to resolve sanitation issues affecting product integrity.
- Identify and apply process enhancements to improve sanitation efficiency, performance, and sustainability.
- Stay informed on advancements in sanitation technology, regulations, and industry practices to recommend updates.
