What You'll Do
- Design and implement backend systems with a strong emphasis on secure architecture and long-term maintainability
- Manage cloud infrastructure through code, ensuring reliability and scalability on AWS
- Operate and maintain blockchain nodes and integrate with crypto exchanges
- Support the adoption and processing of lightning network transactions
- Ensure system observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting practices
- Actively reduce technical debt by identifying and prioritizing improvements
- Engage in open technical discussions, embracing the 'disagree and commit' approach to decision-making
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing
What We're Looking For
- Deep proficiency in Java 21, the JVM ecosystem, and PostgreSQL
- Proven experience delivering full lifecycle backend systems, including testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Strong analytical skills and an organized approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work autonomously while staying aligned with team goals
- Comfort giving and receiving direct, constructive feedback
- Strong prioritization skills to focus on high-impact technical work
Nice to Have
- Background in cryptocurrency, online payments, banking, or retail tech
- Experience with operations and infrastructure engineering
