As a Java Architect, you will lead the end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise software solutions, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. Working directly with clients and cross-functional teams, you will define architectural roadmaps, enforce design standards, and guide technology adoption in alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain architectural blueprints using modeling tools, including class, component, and entity relationship diagrams
- Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements such as performance, security, and scalability
- Champion SOLID principles and decoupled service-oriented design to support system flexibility and growth
- Collaborate with technical leads on platform selection, pattern implementation, and integration strategies
- Lead training initiatives to onboard teams on system architecture, tools, and support processes
- Engage with stakeholders to align technical direction with organizational strategy and operational needs
- Oversee the as-built system catalog, documenting system capabilities and behavioral responsibilities
Qualifications
You must have a strong foundation in enterprise Java development, including Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices, along with hands-on experience in DevSecOps and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proficiency with EJB 3, JTA, JPA, JMS, and REST/SOAP APIs is required. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases—including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch—is essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Alternatively, candidates must obtain an IASAE II certification (such as CASP+CE, CLSSP, or CSSLP) within six months of hire. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance are mandatory.
