Star Pubs (part of HEINEKEN UK) is hiring an Invoice Processing Specialist

Handle core financial operations in a structured, process-driven environment. As an Invoice Processing Specialist, you'll be responsible for reviewing and validating incoming invoices, ensuring accurate data entry, and resolving discrepancies through defined workflows. Your work directly supports financial integrity and timely processing across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate and post scanned invoices from operating companies on a daily basis
  • Manage invoice and non-invoice journal entries with precision
  • Resolve discrepancies by following workflow procedures and tracking outcomes
  • Monitor and clear suspense accounts according to regular cycles
  • Prepare payment runs in line with established timelines
  • Support period-end closing activities with accuracy and timeliness
  • Generate routine and on-demand reports, progressing to more detailed analysis over time
  • Track performance against relevant KPIs and understand their impact on daily tasks
  • Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives for systems and workflows
  • Recognize how your role connects to broader financial processes such as Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance operations
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • High level of accuracy and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with structured data handling
  • Understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes and their integration with other financial cycles
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Background

  • German language proficiency
  • Hands-on experience with SAP
