  • Candidates must be available to work between 12 and 24 hours per week.
  • Preference is given to applicants who can work in person or in a hybrid model from the Tampa, Florida office to maximize collaboration and mentorship.
  • Interns must be capable of performing fieldwork under varied environmental conditions, including different weather patterns and terrains.
  • Applicants should be physically able to carry a backpack over long distances and navigate natural barriers such as fences and streams.
  • Ability to safely handle, load, and transport field equipment is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is necessary, and some evening or weekend availability may be expected.
  • Candidates should have a strong interest in fieldwork and be able to lift at least 40 pounds consistently.
  • Comfort working in remote, rural, and urban outdoor environments is essential.
  • Field tasks may involve walking across uneven or steep ground in forests, fields, dry regions, riverbanks, and coastal zones.
  • Interns must be prepared for exposure to adverse weather and physically demanding conditions.
  • Occasional work outside standard business hours may be required.
  • Interns may assist in compliance monitoring for active construction sites and may be near operating heavy machinery.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience driving four-wheel-drive vehicles off-road is expected.
  • Ability to work in an office setting for extended periods, including computer use at a desk.
  • Prolonged computer work may present risks such as eye fatigue or back strain without proper ergonomic practices.
