In this role, you’ll partner with sales and educational specialists to interpret project goals during programming meetings, then develop conceptual layouts that support dynamic learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in project kickoffs—in person or via Zoom—with stakeholders to define scope and requirements
- Translate client needs into design concepts using 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and detailed furniture specifications
- Specify products and finishes using company platforms, sourcing from a broad network of manufacturers
- Ensure all designs comply with ADA, Life Safety, Fire, and Electrical regulations
- Collaborate with the regional studio team on documentation, specifications, and installation planning
- Present design options clearly to clients and internal teams, incorporating feedback efficiently
- Stay current with education environment trends, product innovation, and industry standards
- Follow structured workflows across project phases: Discovery, Create, Plan, Execute, and Sustain
- Attend scheduled in-person studio sessions, training events, and client meetings as needed
- Support remote collaboration while maintaining strong team connections
Requirements
- Proven ability to communicate design intent effectively to diverse audiences
- Experience working within budget and timeline constraints
- Strong knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards
- Proficiency with design software, 2D/3D modeling, and digital quoting systems
- Willingness to travel for onboarding, training, and client engagements—including trips to Gainesville, Florida
- Residency in Denver, CO, with capacity for remote work
Work Environment
This position operates remotely with an expectation of local presence in Denver. You’ll engage regularly with a regional studio team and may travel for training, company events, and client meetings—all travel expenses covered per company policy.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000. Additional benefits include fully covered travel for onboarding, training, and annual gatherings.
