As Intellectual Property Counsel, you will lead patent-related initiatives within a defined technical area of the Architecture & Network Solutions portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be managing the end-to-end lifecycle of patent applications, from invention disclosure through drafting and responding to office actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate invention disclosures, preparing and filing patent applications aligned with strategic goals
- Collaborate with internal R&D teams and external legal counsel to strengthen IP protection
- Participate in patent committee meetings to guide portfolio development and strategy
- Monitor standardization trends and assess potential IP risks related to telecommunications standards
- Advise on national and international filing strategies, conducting cost-benefit analyses to optimize outcomes
- Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with technical and legal requirements
- Analyze third-party patents to identify potential threats and formulate defensive responses
- Support litigation efforts by providing technical and strategic input on IP matters
- Lead invention workshops, mentor inventors, and manage remuneration calculations and inquiries
- Deliver training sessions to R&D and strategy teams on IP principles and practices
- Conduct IP landscape studies to uncover licensing, enforcement, or collaboration opportunities
- Assist in dispute resolution and support senior leadership in risk management decisions
Work Environment
This is an onsite position based in Timisoara. Remote work is not permitted. You will work closely with engineering, legal, and business leaders to align intellectual property strategy with technological innovation and market objectives.
