Responsibilities
- Receive and distribute ink or alternative coatings used in production processes
- Verify ink color matches approved samples to meet formula or client requirements
- Test new ink or coating samples for attributes including color, viscosity, drying time, and density to confirm compliance with equipment and product standards
- Reprocess and reuse ink by creating accurate blends when feasible
- Procure inks, coatings, adhesives, and specialty materials required for production runs
- Attach flexographic printing plates to cylinders
- Prepare anilox rollers for upcoming jobs
- Clean used anilox rollers to maintain performance
- Install gears and handles onto plate cylinders or anilox rollers
- Inspect anilox rollers to assess size specifications and physical condition
- Track inventory of molded printing plates and place orders when supplies are low
- Prepare rollers or cylinders for shipment to reconditioning services as needed
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors
- Train and assist both new and current team members in role-related duties
