Responsibilities
- Prepares any and all necessary job tools including, job packets, plates, dies, inks, ect. for upcoming work
- Assists with make-readies
- Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and the mechanisms related to the reels
- Maintains proper storage of plates
- Ensures that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped, mounted and ready to be spliced
- Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Provide assistance and support to the production team during makeready
- Involved in equipment preparation, plate mounting, ink mixing, and makeready activities in the production areas
- Work in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Cooperate and work with others
- Share information
- Take the initiative to improve the makeready process and solve problems
- Follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual
