About the Role
The role involves monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats while supporting the organization’s compliance and risk management frameworks. The analyst will work across technical and operational domains to strengthen security posture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Respond to security incidents using established protocols
- Support compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- Maintain and update security policies and procedures
- Perform risk assessments for new technologies and business initiatives
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security controls
- Track and report on security metrics and KPIs
- Manage access controls and user permissions
- Assist in security awareness training for employees
- Evaluate third-party security risks
- Implement and maintain endpoint protection solutions
- Support cloud security configurations and monitoring
- Document security incidents and remediation steps
- Ensure logging and monitoring systems are effective
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Enforce secure software development practices
- Work with legal and compliance teams on data protection matters
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in cybersecurity or related discipline
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Experience with SOAR platforms
- Background in threat intelligence analysis
- Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security
- Prior work in high-growth startup environments
