Proton is hiring an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and sustain core IAM platforms with a focus on reliability, security, and growth capacity.
  • Operate and support systems running on self-hosted and open-source technologies.
  • Partner with engineering teams across functions to embed IAM capabilities into current infrastructure and internal tooling.
  • Build and manage automated, secure workflows for user account creation, removal, and lifecycle management to support efficient employee transitions.
  • Establish and oversee identity governance practices to ensure accurate access controls and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Perform routine access reviews, security evaluations, and re-certification initiatives to detect and resolve access issues.
  • Set up, fine-tune, and maintain authentication, authorization, and access control systems.
  • Create and enforce detailed IAM policies that align with enterprise security objectives.
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of specialized infrastructure initiatives.
  • Apply scripting and automation skills to reduce manual effort and improve identity operations efficiency.
  • Produce clean, reliable, and scalable code for infrastructure automation and configuration management tasks.
