About the Role

The technician will diagnose system issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect HVAC systems to identify malfunctions or performance issues
  • Install new heating and cooling units according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, thermostats, and motors
  • Perform routine maintenance on client systems to prevent breakdowns
  • Test system functionality after service or installation
  • Use diagnostic tools to measure system performance and refrigerant levels
  • Follow safety protocols when handling electrical and mechanical components
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed
  • Communicate clearly with clients about system status and recommended actions
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and environmental regulations
  • Handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members on complex installations
  • Operate service vehicles safely and maintain vehicle inventory
  • Stock and organize tools and replacement parts
  • Adhere to company service procedures and quality standards
  • Provide updates to dispatch or supervisors on job progress
  • Work in various environments including tight spaces and elevated areas
  • Climb ladders and carry heavy equipment as required
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical control systems
  • Support apprentices or junior technicians when assigned
  • Attend training sessions to stay current with technology and regulations
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct on job sites
  • Respond promptly to scheduling changes and service demands
