Oregon Department of Human Services is hiring a Human Resources Support Analyst (Human Resource Analyst 1)

About the Role

The Human Resources Support Analyst processes personnel actions, maintains employee records, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides administrative support for recruitment, onboarding, and HR program coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Process new employee onboarding and employment documentation
  • Maintain accurate personnel records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Support recruitment activities including job postings and applicant tracking
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • Prepare and process personnel action forms and employment changes
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to HR procedures
  • Verify employment eligibility and maintain I-9 documentation
  • Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure data accuracy
  • Track and report HR metrics and workforce data
  • Assist in audits and compliance reviews
  • Manage employee status changes including promotions, transfers, and separations
  • Ensure HR data confidentiality and security
  • Support performance evaluation processes
  • Maintain HR databases and ensure data integrity
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations matters
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies
  • Organize and store physical and digital HR files
  • Collaborate with HR team members on special projects
  • Support leave administration and tracking
  • Facilitate employee communication regarding HR programs
  • Participate in training and professional development
  • Ensure adherence to equal employment opportunity guidelines
  • Assist with workforce planning and staffing initiatives
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience and state pay scales.

Work Arrangement

Onsite with standard business hours; may include occasional flexibility.

Team

Part of a centralized human resources team supporting a large public service organization.

Work Location

Position is based in Salem, Oregon. Some roles may allow limited remote work based on operational needs.
