Responsibilities
- Administer daily HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, attendance tracking, and policy enforcement.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, corrective action procedures, and progressive discipline.
- Support investigations with fact gathering and documentation.
- Maintain HRIS records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Maintaining personnel files
- Timekeeping, data entry
- The safety programs must be enforced in compliance with OSHA, USDA, and FDA standards and any relevant industry certifications required for the role, ensuring your work makes a meaningful difference in safety standards.
- Conduct safety training and lead incident investigations.
- Track safety metrics such as incident rates, audit scores, and corrective action completion to measure safety performance and ensure continuous improvement.
- Perform audits and inspections on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulatory requirements as they relate to: Permitting, Program review, Training, Inspections, Incident management and follow-up, workers’ compensation oversight, Recordkeeping, and Documentation control
- Act as the technical expert for safety, training, health, and ergonomics issues
- Perform plant safety audits and inspections of personnel to assure compliance with program requirements
- Facilitate safety, compliance, and HR-related training programs.
- Support supervisor development and coaching efforts.
- Ensure proper onboarding and safety orientation for new hires.
- Knowledge of all HR systems, including SAP, Kronos, and Attendance Tracker, and ensures that backups are cross-trained on all systems.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns.
- Promote a respectful and compliant workplace.
- Assist in conflict resolution and engagement initiatives.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of manufacturing HR or safety experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA and employment law.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
