Support critical HR functions for a U.S.-based healthcare organisation in a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate employee records, managing onboarding and termination processes, and ensuring compliance with U.S. regulations including HIPAA and ACA.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, process, and securely file employee documentation with consistent accuracy
- Coordinate new hire onboarding procedures and maintain up-to-date digital files
- Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Support offboarding workflows, ensuring all documentation meets compliance standards
- Maintain data integrity across multiple systems and entities
- Follow established protocols to uphold HR compliance across all operational tasks
What You’ll Need
- 3–5 years of experience in HR administration or operations, preferably in a generalist capacity
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume work efficiently
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps upload/download) via wired Ethernet connection
- Uninterruptible power supply to ensure continuity during outages
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM or 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM SAST)
- Willingness to work on both U.S. and South African public holidays as required
Preferred Background
- Experience with U.S. HR operations or healthcare-specific compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with HIPAA, ACA, or similar regulatory environments
