About the Role
The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR team, helping with employee documentation, onboarding processes, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures smooth HR operations and contributes to a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR databases
- Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation logistics
- Coordinate employment documentation and verification
- Support benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Help ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Schedule meetings and manage calendars for HR staff
- Prepare HR correspondence and forms
- Track time-off requests and attendance records
- Assist in organizing company-wide events and trainings
- Manage filing systems for physical and digital records
- Support recruitment by posting jobs and scheduling interviews
- Verify employment eligibility and I-9 documentation
- Update employee status changes in HR systems
- Respond to internal HR-related questions
- Assist with performance review coordination
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data
- Track training completion and certifications
- Help prepare reports for HR metrics and audits
- Coordinate background checks with vendors
- Support payroll processing with data entry
- Organize employee records for audits and inspections
- Assist in developing HR policies and procedures
- Monitor HR inbox and route inquiries appropriately
- Liaise with departments to collect HR documentation
- Participate in HR projects and process improvements
