Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients within an assigned geographic region
- Deliver individualized, one-on-one therapy sessions
- Conduct patient evaluations and create customized treatment plans following physician directives and patient-specific needs
- Administer care consistent with professional guidelines, agency protocols, and prescribed care plans
- Instruct family members, home health aides, and caregivers in appropriate therapeutic techniques
- Design and implement occupational therapy programs to maintain, enhance, or restore physical abilities, reduce pain, and prevent functional decline
- Complete and document initial patient evaluations, analyze findings, formulate diagnoses, and plan interventions
- Ensure accurate and prompt documentation for every patient visit
- Monitor treatment outcomes throughout the care process and modify interventions to optimize results
- Demonstrate willingness to work with older adult patients
