Responsibilities
- Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area
- Provide 1:1 treatment
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
- Deliver care that aligns with professional standards, agency policies, and the prescribed plan of care
- Educate family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniques
- Plan, and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain, improve or restore physical function, relieve pain, and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
