Responsibilities
- Serve patients within a specified geographic region
- Deliver one-on-one therapeutic sessions
- Assess patients and create customized treatment plans in accordance with physician directives and individual needs
- Administer care consistent with professional guidelines, agency protocols, and established care plans
- Instruct family members, home health aides, and other caregivers in appropriate therapy methods
- Design and implement occupational therapy programs aimed at maintaining, enhancing, or restoring physical abilities, reducing pain, and preventing occupational decline
- Conduct and record initial evaluations, analyze findings, identify issues, and formulate diagnoses before initiating treatment
- Ensure timely and precise documentation for every patient visit
- Monitor treatment outcomes at various intervals and modify interventions to optimize results
- Be prepared to work with elderly patients
