Responsibilities
- Manage and treat patients assigned to a specific geographic region
- Offer one-on-one therapy sessions
- Assess patients and create tailored treatment plans based on doctor's orders and patient requirements
- Administer care that meets professional standards, agency guidelines, and the prescribed care plan
- Train family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on appropriate therapy methods
- Design and implement occupational therapy programs to enhance, maintain, or restore physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent occupational issues in patients
- Conduct and record an initial assessment, analyzing the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis before intervention
- Provide accurate and timely documentation for each visit
- Assess treatment effectiveness at various stages and modify treatments to achieve optimal results
- Be open to treating elderly patients
