Requirements
- Occupational Therapy license
- Provide care in patients' homes
- Treat patients within a specific geographic area
- Conduct one-on-one treatment sessions
- Assess patients and create personalized treatment plans based on physician instructions and patient needs
- Administer care that meets professional standards, agency policies, and the prescribed care plan
- Instruct family members, home health aides, and other caregivers on proper therapy techniques
- Design and implement occupational therapy programs to maintain, enhance, or restore physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent occupational issues in patients
- Conduct and document an initial assessment, analyzing data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis before intervention
- Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit
- Assess treatment effects at various stages and adjust treatments to maximize benefits
