Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of safety and quality procedures related to coding and converting operations.
- Execute scheduled slitting and converting tasks on the slitter machine.
- Collaborate with material handling staff to support department and plant production objectives.
- Minimize waste by optimizing trim usage and reprocessing open stock rolls through splicing and rewinding to improve efficiency.
- Operate and adjust slitter equipment to meet precise paper specifications.
- Prepare in advance for upcoming production runs to reduce machine downtime and ensure materials are ready for current and next shifts.
- Ensure both the quality and quantity of slit products meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate records by completing log sheets and entering data into the PWMS system for production and inventory tracking.
- Work with maintenance personnel to keep equipment functioning properly and report issues to supervisors promptly.
- Support team-based workflows and collaborative processes.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
- Assist in training current and new team members on operational procedures.
