Williams Lea by RRD is hiring a Hoist Operator/Forklift Driver (12hr Days)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of safety and quality procedures related to coding and converting operations.
  • Execute scheduled slitting and converting tasks on the slitter machine.
  • Collaborate with material handling staff to support department and plant production objectives.
  • Minimize waste by optimizing trim usage and reprocessing open stock rolls through splicing and rewinding to improve efficiency.
  • Operate and adjust slitter equipment to meet precise paper specifications.
  • Prepare in advance for upcoming production runs to reduce machine downtime and ensure materials are ready for current and next shifts.
  • Ensure both the quality and quantity of slit products meet required standards.
  • Maintain accurate records by completing log sheets and entering data into the PWMS system for production and inventory tracking.
  • Work with maintenance personnel to keep equipment functioning properly and report issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Support team-based workflows and collaborative processes.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
  • Assist in training current and new team members on operational procedures.
