AECOM is hiring a High Voltage Substation Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review structural designs for high voltage substations.
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate structural designs with other engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct site inspections and assess structural conditions.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform structural analyses and calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for project deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews and peer reviews.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate construction materials.
  • Monitor construction progress and quality.
  • Resolve technical issues and challenges.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare cost estimates for structural components.
  • Ensure all designs are environmentally sustainable.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
