Culina Group is hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver

Responsibilities

  • General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
  • Collections from Stores to load out to Distribution Centres
  • Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
  • Trunking Opportunities available depending on availability
  • Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
  • Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
  • Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation

Requirements

  • HGV Class 1 licence
  • Ability to work any 5 days from 7
  • Commitment to safe driving and compliance with Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation

Nice to Have

  • Experience in General Haulage with Curtainside trailers
  • Experience in trunking operations
  • Proven record of excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards

Benefits

  • Increased pay rates ranging from £15.15 to £18.96 per hour depending on shift
  • £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance
  • £25 per night out tax-free allowance (if applicable)

Work Arrangement

On-site — Wentworth Park, Barnsley

Additional Information

  • Shift patterns include days (04:00 - 07:00 starts) and nights (16:00 - 19:00 starts)
  • Weekend work may be required depending on demand
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Pay rates vary by shift: Mon-Fri Days (£15.15/hour), Mon-Fri Night Shift (£16.35/hour), Saturday and Sunday Day Shift (£18.15/hour), Saturday and Sunday Night Shift (£18.65/hour), Bank Holidays (£18.96/hour)
