About the Role
This position supports internal users by resolving technical issues, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems through direct and remote support.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to employees experiencing IT issues
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, and mobile device problems
- Assist with setup and configuration of new hardware and software
- Respond to service tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Escalate complex technical problems to higher-tier support teams
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions
- Support email and calendar system access and configuration
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues on corporate networks
- Assist with user account management and access permissions
- Perform routine system checks and software updates
- Support video conferencing and collaboration tools
- Document technical procedures and solutions in knowledge base
- Follow established protocols for data security and privacy
- Participate in after-hours support rotations as needed
- Assist with asset inventory and lifecycle management
- Support remote workers with connectivity and device setup
- Install and configure standard business applications
- Guide users through step-by-step troubleshooting processes
- Maintain professionalism during high-pressure situations
- Adhere to change management policies for system updates
- Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery
- Support onboarding of new employees with IT equipment
- Assist in decommissioning and repurposing of old devices
- Follow documented escalation paths for unresolved issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes
