Responsibilities
- Deliver training and technical support to grantees focused on school readiness, family involvement, and educator growth.
- Support the adoption of child assessment tools, curricula, and instructional methods appropriate for children from birth through age five, ensuring alignment with developmental, cultural, and linguistic needs.
- Help grantees enhance teacher-child interactions using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and other relevant tools for early childhood settings.
- Guide grantees in developing capabilities to collect, interpret, and apply data from diverse sources.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based coaching models within grantee programs.
- Assist in building family engagement strategies aligned with the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework, including staff coaching and parenting curriculum selection.
- Strengthen transition practices from birth through kindergarten entry by fostering partnerships with preschools, elementary schools, and community organizations.
- Improve collaboration between grantees and Local Education Agencies (LEAs), state departments, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate technical assistance efforts with specialists in grantee services, family engagement, health, and systems to ensure cohesive support as directed by the Regional Office.
- Maintain consistent and timely communication with Regional Office staff regarding technical assistance delivery and progress on quality improvements or corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of new initiatives and priorities from the Office of Head Start.
