As Head of Product, AI, you will define and drive the vision for an intelligent chat application that enhances everyday tasks through proactive, context-aware interactions. Your work will center on transforming cutting-edge AI capabilities into practical, user-centered features that ship quickly and perform reliably in real-world use.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy rooted in the realities of AI model performance, system constraints, and user needs.
- Collaborate daily with machine learning, backend, and mobile engineers to design, test, and refine AI-driven features.
- Interpret model behavior, evaluation data, and system limitations to guide product decisions and prioritize improvements.
- Establish clear success metrics using a combination of automated testing, live experiments, and direct user feedback.
- Make informed trade-offs between speed, accuracy, cost, and usability to maintain both performance and trust.
- Ensure all AI features meet high standards for safety, correctness, and real-world impact before release.
- Define detailed product requirements with an emphasis on risk management, scalability, and iterative progress.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems design.
- Deep familiarity with machine learning concepts and the operational realities of deploying AI models at scale.
- Proven experience guiding technical products from concept to production, especially those involving large language models.
- Ability to read and contribute to technical specifications and system architecture discussions.
- Skill in identifying and mitigating common AI failure modes such as hallucinations, bias, and performance drift.
- Track record of making sound decisions in uncertain, fast-moving environments while balancing ambition with feasibility.
- Experience working closely with senior engineering and research teams to align product goals with technical execution.
Preferred Background
- Direct experience launching consumer-facing AI products with heavy reliance on machine learning.
- Technical background as an engineer or deeply technical product manager.
- Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI systems to measure accuracy, relevance, and safety.
- Sensitivity to user experience patterns in AI interfaces, especially around error handling and user trust.
- History of thriving in early-stage, zero-to-one product environments.
