Responsibilities
- Design and develop an organization to centralize activities supporting a global manufacturing network.
- Hire, mentor, and develop team members within the organization.
- Set performance goals and hold employees accountable for their performance.
- Lead performance and talent management processes consistent with Gilead policies and practice.
- Build and maintain an organization culture aligned with Gilead values, with emphasis on quality and safety.
- Develop a digital strategy for the Manufacturing organization in collaboration with PDM and corporate teams (digital, IT, OT, data analytics).
- Identify and define implementation of a modern manufacturing management system (e.g., Lean Manufacturing) and coordinate with PDM efforts.
- Define and deliver on projects identified as part of the Manufacturing strategy.
- Lead collaboration with PDM Network Strategy and Project Management teams.
- Define and implement metrics to drive visibility into operational performance of the Manufacturing network.
- Define and maintain resource models to support sites, functions, and PDM portfolio management.
- Lead the Operational and Capital budgeting process, including a multi-year view.
- Provide centralized resource management for Manufacturing resources in G.Plan (Planisware).
- Update templates, provide program-specific resource models, and create portfolio-wide resource models and scenarios for demand and supply planning.
- Manage purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, procurement and planning processes, and logistics/business processes for contract manufacturing organizations.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Manufacturing Leadership Team to design and implement a Manufacturing innovation roadmap including digital transformation.
- Collaborate with PDM-specific initiatives to enable Gilead’s 2030 ambitions.
