About the Role

As Head of Engineering Recruitment, you will lead the strategy and execution of global engineering hiring, building a resilient and scalable recruitment engine focused on senior and highly technical roles. You will manage a distributed team, ensuring consistent delivery while shaping long-term hiring practices across infrastructure, platform, systems, and product engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a global team of engineering recruiters, aligning operations across multiple time zones and regions
  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning to offer, with a focus on technical depth and role specificity
  • Enhance early-stage sourcing strategies to improve volume and quality of candidates for hard-to-fill positions
  • Collaborate closely with engineering executives to define hiring needs, calibrate role expectations, and refine assessment criteria
  • Design and implement standardized evaluation frameworks that reflect technical and behavioral excellence
  • Optimize hiring velocity by reducing process inefficiencies and improving candidate progression
  • Strengthen hiring manager engagement in sourcing and evaluation processes
  • Use data and market intelligence to guide capacity planning, location strategy, and process improvements
  • Continuously evolve team structure and operating model to support organizational scale

Qualifications

You bring extensive experience leading in-house engineering recruitment at high-growth tech companies, with a track record of hiring senior technical talent beyond referral networks. You understand the nuances of engineering disciplines and global talent dynamics, and you operate effectively in complex, ambiguous environments. A data-informed approach and proven ability to scale recruitment functions are essential. Experience in AI, cloud, or deep-tech environments is a plus, as is familiarity with talent markets in the UK and US.
